Dual presents the CS 600 MK II.
The biggest change to this fully updated record player is the platter. The CS 600 MK II has a 2,1 kg heavy aluminum platter, with diameter 300mm and height 20mm and also has a antistatic felt 4mm high. This ensures that it runs more smoothly and also minimizes external interference. Of course, the platter has an additional damping to minimize the resonance, too. The transmission of the movement is done with a silicone belt – while the subplate has a layer of anti-vibration material – which bring the turntable to either 33 1/3, 45 or 78 rpm.
Tonearm Technology
The CS 600 MK II is equipped with a newly developed aluminum tone arm, unique to this player. The height-adjustable arm has a quadruple ball bearing Cardan joint and a particular torsion ally rigid tone arm head made of carbon fiber. The arm wiring consists of low resistance and capacity silver-plated cables which end in 2 gold-plated RCA plugs with Teflon insulation.
Chassis Technology
The chassis is made of a heavy MDF frame (available in Black Structure or Piano Black). As with the predecessor a brass bearing for the platter is used in which the 10mm thick axle slides smoothly. The bearing mirror is made of Teflon and therefore extremely durable.
Drive Technology
The record player is driven by a electronic controlled DC motor while the speed selection is done electronically.
