Yamaha has announced the two new home theatre amplifiers – also for gamers. Along with the release of PS5 and Xbox Series X, which will be released before Christmas, both amplifiers will be available. The company’s “redesigned” RX-V series includes the RX-V4A 5.1 channels amplifier and the RX-V6A 7.2 channels amplifier.

So, from the end of the year, the amplifiers – with firmware upgrade – will be compatible with both 8K and HDR10+, while they will have VRR Variable Refresh Rate) for better gameplay. They will have full HDMI 2.1 jacks, which means features like eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel), ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode), 4K at 120Hz and QFT (Quick Frame Transport) will be supported.
The 100W RX-V6A has High Slew Rate Boosters and Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization (which aims to recreate the Atmos height effect without the need for ceiling-mounted or upwards speakers) through another firmware update that has been scheduled for “Q1 2021”.
The additional features that will have, are the YPAO Multi-Point automatic room calibration, support for wireless rear speakers, Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect and multi-room audio and voice control with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri-compatible devices.Of course are Yamaha MusicCast-enabled.

The Yamaha RX-V6A and the 80 W RX-V4A will be in the stores in October, shortly before the official release of the consoles.
